The Held & Seen Identity Journey

12 Week Coaching Program for Hispanic/Latinx LGBTQ+ Adults

A guided path from managing and adapting toward greater self-trust, cultural integration, connection, and belonging on your own terms.

Four Phases of Meaningful Change

Each phase builds on the previous one, moving from understanding the strategies you developed to stay safe toward greater choice, connection, and a life that reflects your values.

Phase 1

Coming Back to Yourself

Understand how identity, culture, family, and lived experience shaped the ways you learned to navigate the world.

Week 1

The Skill You Already Have

Understand the safety norms of the group, and begin naming the sophisticated skill of reading rooms and managing risk that has kept you safe, before deciding what to do with it next.

Week 2

What Am I Still Carrying?

Explore which ways of managing are intentional choices and which may now be operating automatically. Examine the difference between adaptation, obligation, protection, and self-erasure

Week 3

The Story I Thought I Would Have

Make room for the relationships, traditions, expectations, and futures that may have changed. Explore grief related to family acceptance, cultural belonging, faith, relationships that changed after disclosure.

Phase 2

Coming Out of Survival Mode

Understand how repeated experiences of judgment, rejection, uncertainty, or vigilance can shape the nervous system without treating those responses as personal failures.

Week 4

Adapted, Not Broken

Replace self-criticism with context. Explore the idea that many protective responses developed for understandable reasons.

Week 5

Reading Safety in Context

Learn to tell the difference between a real threat and old, outdated pattern-matching, and build a fast way to make that call in real time.

Week 6

A Regulation Toolkit That Fits You

Build personalized strategies for emotional regulation using practices that feel realistic and culturally meaningful.

Phase 3

Engaging Without Losing Yourself

Develop greater choice around relationships, disclosure, boundaries, and belonging without assuming that separation is the only path to authenticity.

Week 7

Mapping Your Rooms

Explore the different relationships, communities, and environments you move through. Develop a understanding of what each relationship can and cannot currently provide.

Week 8

Disclosure on Your Terms

Explore disclosure as a personal and contextual decision rather than a requirement for authenticity. Practice language for disclosure, partial disclosure, boundary setting, and choosing not to disclose.

Week 9

Staying Connected Without Disappearing

Learn to remain in meaningful but imperfect relationships without abandoning yourself or demanding immediate resolution.

Phase 4

Building the Life Ahead

Move beyond surviving identity conflict toward intentionally building relationships, community, and a life that reflects the whole person.

Week 10

The Values That Stayed With You

Reconnect with the values, traditions, interests, and parts of yourself that persisted even during periods when you had to manage how you showed up.

Week 11

Building Your Ecosystem of Belonging

Move beyond the idea that belonging must come from one community.

Week 12

Belonging on Your Terms

Bring together the insights, choices, relationships, and practices developed throughout the program.

The goal is belonging to yourself wherever you go.
